All Delegates Pass with Flying Colours
Dyer & Butler brings IOSH Managing Safely Training Course internal, our first course ran fully assessed and monitored, all delegates passed with flying colours.
Geoff Fox, Health & Safety Advisor delivers our first IOSH course internally with delegates: Jon Whitehouse, Operations Director; Dave Davies, Divisional Director; Mark Foster, Divisional Manager; Tom Jones, Contract Manager; Gareth Bates, Contract Manager.
The course running over 4 days was validated by Jane Higgs, Health & Safety Training Verifier from IOSH. Geoff Fox passed all the required assessments in delivering the course and all the delegates passed the course and are now qualified in managing safely.

Managing Safely is a course for managers and supervisors. It’s designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams. The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues, and includes a session tackling the environment too. The course lasts for 24 hours in total. Managing Safely can be delivered over a full week or on single days or as an evening course and has eight modules:
- Introducing Managing Safely
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding your responsibilities
- Identifying hazards
- Investigating accidents and incidents
- Measuring performance
- Protecting our environment

Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an IOSH certificate in Managing Safely.
