Description
Reinstatement of over 800m2 of existing hardstanding in Swansea's main bus depot with associated drainage, surfacing and concrete works.
Works were undertaken during a 4-week programme whilst maintaining full operational functionality of the depot.
Due to the heavy contamination of the site, Dyer & Butler proposed to stabilise all existing material for reuse within the works, thereby avoiding the significant costs of contaminated waste disposal and imported aggregates.
The new surfacing included a fuel-resistant SMA surface course, also proposed by Dyer & Butler to better suit the location and end use.
