For over 35 years, Dyer & Butler has been supporting requests from airport operators to undertake various works under framework and standalone contracts from maintenance through to major projects. The result of this long-standing ongoing activity has produced a team of highly experienced specialists who fully understand and work to the high standards demanded from those who work in such highly visible and time-sensitive locations.

Today, Dyer & Butler’s specialist development and maintenance teams can be found regularly at some of the UK’s major airports, Heathrow, Gatwick and Southampton.


Dyer & Butler’s engineering infrastructure services for airport authorities and facility managers, covers a broad scope of activities and associated skills. To support the wide range of demands associated with these activities of both airside and landside engineering and maintenance work, Dyer & Butler maintains a highly focused Airports Division. This section has its own construction/engineering team managed by a dedicated board director. Typically, much of the work we undertake is at night, over weekends and during periods when airports activity is at a minimum. Our focus at all times is to maintain rigid control of all Health & Safety issues that may be present for our employees and those who are in the vicinity of our work. Appreciating where we work is also vital to ensure that security is maintained at all times as we work, pass through and move around an airport.

Dyer & Butler’s work in the airports sector includes project work, term contracts, partnered alliance and framework agreements. We cover the following services and in all instances our objective is to keep our customers’ airports operational on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round basis.
