We are all aware of the extreme focus on the rail sector to keep safety at the core of every activity, whilst still maintaining train services. To help achieve this, Dyer & Butler has a specialist rail division that delivers a wide range of services and solutions specifically tailored for the rail industry. For more than 35 years, we have undertaken rail-specific works for many clients operating in the rail sector under framework and stand-alone contracts from maintenance through to major projects.

Dyer & Butler maintains a highly focused and dedicated Rail Department managed by a board director and having its own highly skilled and flexible team. Our specialists undertake and manage services for rail operators and authorities covering a broad range of activities and associated skills required by the sector.

Much of our work is undertaken when rail stations and their associated lines are at their least busy, either over weekends or during night closures. Apart from the need to limit inconvenience to passengers and the public, our approach towards site work is to maintain strict management control at all times of all Health & Safety issues that may be present for our employees and those who are in the vicinity of our work.

Dyer & Butler’s work in the rail sector includes project work, term contracts, partnered alliance and framework agreements. We are experienced in successfully completing work on bridge construction, platforms, canopies, station buildings and embankment repairs and renewals.
