Dyer & Butler has been appointed by Ringway Infrastructure Services Ltd (RIS) to deliver major Phase 1 improvement works to two junctions on the A3095 in Bracknell on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council.

The works form part of a wider global scheme to upgrade the existing Hanworth and Golden Retriever junctions in order to alleviate congestion in the area through more efficient traffic flow.

At Hanworth Junction, Dyer & Butler will widen the existing approach carriageway, paving the way for RIS to insert signalling, construct a ‘through-about’ and widen the existing pedestrian subway.

The Golden Retriever junction requires a wider scope of works, including; the installation of a minor embankment and subsequent earthworks; drainage ditching with outlet headwalls; filter and carrier drainage installation; and the construction of a footway and carriageway.

The project will take approximately 18 months in total to complete with traffic management in place to ensure minimal disruption to the community when required.

Simon White, Highways Director at Dyer & Butler, commented: “We’re delighted to have been appointed to deliver these improvement works that will be so beneficial to the surrounding community and transformative to the geography of the local area. This investment will remove the bottleneck and improve journey times for local road users, making the road far more navigable and making inconvenient day-to-day congestion a thing of the past.”
