Dyer & Butler protect environment with litter picking lunches
22nd March 2024
At M Group Services, we are passionate about protecting people and the planet.
Recently, our Dyer & Butler team at Gatwick Airport have been giving back to the local community by taking part in litter picking during their lunch breaks.
Over the course of a week, eight of our team took to the local streets surrounding our Gatwick office, collecting over 20 bags of litter across a distance of 1km. Clearing litter from pathways, hedges, and bushes, the efforts of our team will help protect local wildlife.
Speaking on the litter picking, Andrew Nash, Project Manager at Dyer & Butler, said: “By spending just an hour a day, for a week, we were able to clean up 20 bags worth of litter, we were able to make a real positive impact to the local habitat. I’d like to thank my fellow colleagues who joined me on their lunchbreaks, to take part in our litter pick.”
Dyer & Butler’s focus on social value is an essential element to its environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments. Over the last year, our teams have taken part in several activities to inspire and support the communities close to where we work, from inspiring the next generation at school STEM events, to running donations for local homeless charities.
Thank you to the team for your fantastic efforts in making the streets surrounding Gatwick litter free, helping to protect local wildlife.
